Miss World Karolina Bielawska Tries Kashmiri Dress, Expresses Gratitude: Watch Video

Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World 2021, shared her recent encounter in the enchanting region of Kashmir as she embraced the opportunity to don a traditional Kashmiri dress during her visit.

Karolina Bielawska, the current Miss World titleholder, who has a deep affinity for discovering India’s diverse culture, expressed her awe at the enchanting beauty of Kashmir. During her visit to the region on Monday, she attended the 71st Miss World 2023 press conference, where she expressed her gratitude for the chance to experience the stunning landscape of Kashmir. Karolina stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to see this beautiful place (Kashmir) in India. I didn’t expect it at all, but it just stuns me with its beauty.” Notably, Karolina also embraced the local culture by trying on a traditional Kashmiri dress at Nishat Bagh during her visit.

Karolina Bielawska expressed her profound awe and appreciation for the breathtaking beauty of Kashmir. Reflecting on her experience, she remarked, “We’ve been talking about Kashmir and I knew there would be beautiful scenery. But what we’ve seen today was really blowing our minds… And everyone welcomed us so nicely, so warmly that I cannot wait to welcome 140 nations and all my friends and family to bring them here to India and to show places like Kashmir, like Delhi, Mumbai.” This being her third visit to India, Karolina emphasized her happiness at the prospect of returning, as every trip brings new discoveries. She highlighted India’s incredible diversity and shared, “However, in every state there is something common, which is the wonderful hospitality.”

During their visit, Karolina, alongside Miss World India Sini Shetty and Miss World Caribbean Emmy Pena, had the wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Kashmiri handicrafts and art.

The intricate craftsmanship and cultural significance of Kashmiri handicrafts left a lasting impression on Karolina, Sini, and Emmy. Eager to explore this treasure trove, the trio made their way to the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, where they indulged in firsthand experiences with these artistic creations.

Adorned in traditional Kashmiri attire, complete with their crowns, they embraced the local culture while enjoying the serene views of the Jhelum River.

Jamil Saidi, Chairman of PME Entertainment, shared his sentiments about the visit, saying, “Kashmir, the crowning jewel of India, has a special place in my heart. My encounters with its warm people and majestic landscapes remind me of what India truly stands for – unity in diversity. We extend our gratitude to the LG and the wonderful people of this region for their kind-hearted welcome.”

Miss Julia Morley, the Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, expressed her gratitude to the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation for facilitating an incredible experience during their visit to the valley. She commended the organization for its remarkable work and underscored the beauty of their journey in Srinagar alongside the pageant holders, relishing every moment spent there.

During the day, Karolina Bielawska enjoyed a delightful lunch and embarked on a shikara ride at Dal Lake with other distinguished guests.

Karolina Bielawska, hailing from Poland, triumphed as the winner of the international beauty pageant Miss World 2021. She holds a multitude of roles, encompassing Polish model, TV presenter, social activist, UN Messenger of Peace Goodwill Ambassador, philanthropist, and publicist.

Previously, Miss World 2022, Karolina Bielawska, conveyed her enthusiasm for India being chosen as the host for Miss World 2023. She shared her eagerness to delve into India’s values and cultural richness during this grand event.
