Mira Kapoor’s Travel Checklist: Focuses on Experiences, Not Possessions!

“Even though vacations are typically associated with relaxation, many of us create lists detailing where to dine, what to purchase, where to explore, and, perhaps most importantly, which location offers the most Instagram-worthy photo opportunities,” she noted.

“When was the last time you traveled without the constant FOMO of checking every item off your checklist? Travel, thanks to social media, has often revolved around discovering the best spots to shop, dine, and capture Instagram-worthy moments. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with these pursuits, it’s equally crucial to engage in activities that allow you to discover inner peace and genuine happiness during your journeys.

Emphasizing the same is Mira Kapoor, who recently took to her Instagram to share that she loves exploring art galleries while traveling. “I love strolling through art galleries while traveling…something about engaging in an activity that doesn’t involve eating or shopping but simply enjoying time and another’s creativity and thinking,” Mira wrote.

Alongside, the 29-year-old also shared a couple of pictures from an art gallery in Sankt Annæ Plads, a public square which marks the border between the Nyhavn area and Frederiksstaden neighborhoods of central Copenhagen, Denmark.

Further in the post, Mira highlighted that most people rush to complete their travel checklists instead of taking it as an opportunity to relax. “Despite holidays being about relaxing (for most), we’ve all made checklists of where to eat, what to buy, where to go and more importantly which spot is most Instagrammable,” she said.

Admitting that she is guilty of doing the same, Mira said that she has now made another addition to this list. “Guilty myself — but one thing that I have put on that checklist now is to do something that doesn’t involve buying, acquiring or portraying, but just being,” she added.

Mira is a travel enthusiast, as is evident from her social media account. Prior to this, she posted about enjoying a family vacation without the pressure of posting on Instagram. “Not like anybody is expecting a post, but one gets into a cycle of feeling the need to keep posting about what’s going on in life on social media. At least I did, and I thought I’d enjoy the summer without that pressure. Whenever I felt like it, I would,” she said.
