To maximize the benefits of a 20-minute workout, it is important to stay consistent and make it a regular part of your fitness routine, according to Bala Krishna Reddy Dabbedi, a fitness expert and Co-founder/Director at FITTR.

Gauahar Khan has been dedicated to her postpartum fitness journey, demonstrating her commitment to getting back in shape. Despite the challenges of motherhood and fatigue, the 39-year-old actor recently shared a mirror selfie from the gym, showcasing her determination as she squeezed in a 20-minute workout.

How important is it to work out postpartum?

To fully experience the advantages of a 20-minute workout, consistency is crucial, as highlighted by fitness expert Bala Krishna Reddy Dabbedi, Co-founder, and director at FITTR. Regularly engaging in these shorter workout sessions can yield positive results in terms of fitness, strength, and overall well-being. By staying committed and making it a part of your routine, you can maximize the benefits of a shorter yet effective workout.

“It may seem short, but with the right approach, it can be highly effective. Whether for general fitness or postpartum recovery, focus on a well-rounded routine that combines cardiovascular and strength exercises. Keep in mind your individual needs and consult with a healthcare provider or postnatal specialist for guidance during the recovery phase,” said Dabbedi.

Dabbedi emphasizes the importance of focusing on exercises that enhance core stability, pelvic floor strength, and flexibility during postpartum workouts. These specific areas play a vital role in regaining strength, improving posture, and supporting overall recovery after childbirth. By prioritizing these exercises, new mothers can effectively address the unique needs of their bodies during the postpartum period.

“It is important to listen to your body and gradually increase intensity, and avoid overexertion. Remember, it’s a gradual process, so be patient with yourself. Embrace the power of consistency, proper form, and a progressive approach to unlock the full benefits of your 20-minute workout,” said Dabbedi.

Khan has been consistent in sharing her fitness journey and documenting her progress on social media. In a previous update, she revealed that she achieved significant weight loss, shedding 10 kilograms in 10 days, and later, 13 kilograms in just 15 days. Her dedication and commitment to her fitness goals have been evident in her rapid transformation, inspiring her followers along the way.

Experts emphasize the importance of setting realistic goals and seeking guidance from professionals when it comes to postpartum fitness. They advise new mothers to follow a well-balanced diet that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, pulses, lentils, and legumes while avoiding junk food and processed items. It is recommended to stay hydrated by drinking an adequate amount of water and steer clear of sodas, colas, sweets, and desserts. Consulting with a healthcare provider or nutritionist can provide further assistance and support in achieving postpartum health and wellness.
