The much-awaited Ladakh International Music Festival (LIMF) is making a comeback in 2023, featuring a one-of-a-kind fashion show on the world’s highest motorable road, Umling La, at a breathtaking height of 19,022 feet.

The Ladakh International Fashion Runway, a remarkable event organized by the Ladakh Art and Entertainment Alliance (LAEA), is set to take place between August 23 and September 3 this year, echoing the G20 summit’s spirit and showcasing fashion on the world’s highest motorable road, Umling La.

The Ladakh International Fashion Runway will showcase women leaders from G20 member countries and guest countries, alongside prestigious pageantry crown holders such as Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth, all uniting to share ideas of empowerment and peace.

The star-studded lineup of the Ladakh International Fashion Runway includes renowned beauties like Miss Earth India Vanshika Parmar, Miss Earth Italy Giulia Ragazzini, Miss Earth USA Lindsey Coffey, Miss Universe Japan Yuumi Kato, Miss Earth UK Luissa Burton, Miss Earth Germany Annabella Fleck, and Miss World Bangladesh Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, among several others.

Tashi Gyalson, Chairman of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), expressed his joy in hosting the event in Ladakh and stressed the importance of connecting local values with global decisions, promoting the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the idea that the world is one family.

In a unique gesture, each model will bring half a kilogram of sand from their respective countries, which will be combined with concrete and used to create an artistic mould representing “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” symbolizing unity and reflecting the essence of the G20 summit.

LAEA co-founder and LIMF founder Sushil Chaudhary expressed the festival’s strong collaboration with the Indian Army and the LAHDC, and their excitement to introduce the Ladakh Fashion Runway, making the event even more remarkable. Pankaj Gupta, Director, and Co-Founder of LAEA stated that the event aims to set a new Guinness World Record, bringing together Miss Worlds, Miss Universes, and Miss Earths from around the world to celebrate and commemorate the G20 summit’s presidency.

The festival promises mesmerizing performances, stunning couture, awe-inspiring landscapes, and a celebration of culture, arts, and camaraderie amidst the majestic Himalayas.
